The CREE is an international non- governmental organisation established in Brussels, the capital of the European Union, with the aim of promoting international relations based on openness and transparency in all sectors and the vision of creating bridges of cooperation between the European Union and other countries in various other regions.

CREE works on the development of cooperation plans and programs in addition to facilitating strategic funding, in line with international treaties and conventions.  The commission operates in accordance with the European Union directives and has no political, partisan or religious objectives.
The commission stresses that it is totally independent of any political authority, partisan or any religious group, and works for the realization of its objectives while respecting the universal declaration of human rights and all the international conventions.

The European Committee for Cultural Affairs is the European Commission for Foreign Relations’ international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. The Committee creates international opportunities for the people of the EU and other countries and builds trust between them worldwide.

The European Committee for Cultural Affairs is a not for profit International organisation with the aim of promoting international and transnational cultural relations globally.  It is a non-departmental, non-governmental cultural relations organisation, sponsored by the European Commission for Foreign Relations and the support of the founders.

Abertay launched the world’s first computer games degree in 1997 and in 2017 held a programme of events celebrating 20 Years of Games.

Abertay was also the first to offer a degree in Ethical Hacking, starting in 2006.

According to the results of the Research Excellence Framework 2014, Abertay was the highest ranked modern university in Scotland for ‘research intensity’. Abertay has been ranked number one in Europe for undergraduate videogames education by the Princeton Review in five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.

It is the second largest of five universities in the city, It is ranked third of the five according to the Complete University Guide, below both the University of Birmingham and Aston University. The university has a large percentage of students from ethnic minorities and has the highest intake of foreign students in the Birmingham area.

 

BANGOR UNIVERSITY

It is one of the founding institutions of the federal University of Wales. The 2014 Research Excellence Framework recognised that more than three quarters of Bangor’s research is either world-leading or internationally excellent. The university’s research was rated in the top two tiers of research quality, ahead of the average for all UK universities.

In 2017, Bangor University became the only university in Wales to be rated ‘Gold’ by the new Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) which means that the university is deemed to be of the highest quality found in the UK, providing “consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students.”

In recent years, Bangor has been rated highly by its students in two independent surveys of student opinion. In the National Student Survey, the university has been consistently ranked highly both within Wales and in the UK higher education sector. In 2017, Bangor University’s students placed the university eighth among the UK’s non-specialist universities and second among Welsh Universities.

For the second year in a row Bangor was awarded Best University in the UK for Clubs and Societies at the 2018 WhatUni Student Choice Awards. It also regained the award for best Student Accommodation which they originally won in 2016. The university was also placed second overall for ‘Courses and Lecturers’ and retained third place in the category ‘University of the Year’. WhatUni award nominations are based on the reviews and opinions of the university’s own students. This is the fourth year in a row that Bangor University has won a national WhatUni Award.
